What have you given up for the God?

So yesterday was prayer night at my church and the service was amazing, the word incredible and my pastor asked us all this question. If God asks you to leave everything and follow him; how many would do it? I of course answer; ” I would!!!! ” and he took us to Luke 5: 1-11, it’s the story of four fishermen becoming disciples. Now if you read the story or have read it you know it’s about four men  trying to capture some fish; they been going on for hours and haven’t been able to catch any. So here comes the messiah and tells Simon to throw the net into the lake and this is how he responds;

 “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

And do you know what happens the net is overflowed with fish. The Lord gave this fishermen what they probably needed at that time and continues to do it in our lives; but my question is what have you given up for the Lord. I know that I probably haven’t given up much and I struggle with this because I might be thinking that I’m giving every single part of me the good, the bad and everything in between but at the end of the day I haven’t given anything more than what he did st the cross. He gave his life, his dignity,his holiness, his riches; he gave all for you and me so that we could have salvation in him. What’s holding you back? Think about and put it in your prayers and ask the Lord to take away or help you overcome that situation. Be a fishermen of souls for the Lord Almighty.
