Hello Everyone;
Been trying to see what I could talk but the Lord had other plans. As many of you know the situation in Houston well Texas it’s serious. I been watching and reading the news and my heart breaks for all this people who are going through this horrible time. Life will never be the same for them.
Many people have lost their lives in this flood. They are either homeless or still in need of rescue. Never in my life have a seen such devastation, we saw what happened in New Jersey about 2 to 3 years ago but this level of disaster has not happened in the American history. This reminds me about a storm that hit Central America called Mich in 1998 if I’m not mistaken; this storm made so much destruction in my city and country. Many lives were lost and many were left without homes, rivers overflowed and it was impossible to evacuate so people had to climb on top of the houses. The house that I lived in was the size of two stories and water was almost to 2/3 away from the top. I can completely relate to Texans right at this moment; many of them don’t have insurance on the homes, but what’s more troubling and sad is the death this storm brought. Many people died; they drowned trying to escape from this place.
Psalms 121:1-2
“1I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?2.No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains”
My heart weeps for you; this is the moment that we need to unite and help our brothers and sisters out. This is the moment that the christian church starts helping out and crying out to God for these people. We need to cry out as if they were our family instead of strangers. Don’t you know that the more people pray the more God listens. Church is time to stop sleeping, Jesus coming it’s at the doors. All this devastation and violence is preparing the coming for our savior. Please let’s wake up, the husband is coming and the bride is still not ready. We are either asleep or slacking off with our indecisiveness. God wants us awake not sleeping.
Matthew 24:4-8
“4.Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. 5.For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6.You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7.Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8.All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Let’s keep this state and it’s cities in our prayers at this moment; they need our help and our prayers more than anything.
Lord we come into your presence this morning asking that you protect those are still in need of rescuing, that you give acceptance and peace to those who have lost a loved one or their homes. Lord in your name we ask that you take control this moment of that storm that you be guiding it out of this state. Have mercy Father; your word say that if we ask it shall be given. So in this moment we are asking you no pleading you that you take control of this situation. If you let this happen it was for a reason Father; let us understand what is it that you want to let us know. Lord we thank you because we believe that you are merciful and loving and that you have heard the prayers from your son’s and daughters. In the name of Jesus, AMEN.
Psalms 7:9
“Do not hide Your face from me,
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not abandon me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation!”
