Your Encouter🗣🗣🤔🤔💕💕

Last night service one of the members from church preached and one thing he preached or talked about was that we have to have an encounter with God individually. And it clicked on my mind that many of us; don’t have that experience. We might go to church and we might say I believe in God but how many of us have had a real experience with God.?

 For example biblical speaking there are some people in the bible that had that encounter with the Lord for example; Job, Moises, Abraham, Jacob , Paul, Samuel and much more. To some God manifested in dreams to others he spoke and some he manifested in a physical way.

There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Gen 28:13

I think we all know the story of Jacob how he had to flee his land and all. But what interests me from that verse it’s that God presented himself in Jacob’s dream. I mean who wouldn’t want that; for the Lord to come into your dreams and speak to you. But my point is this guy was raised with the believes of Isaac and Abraham; so he knows there is a God and all that come with it. But he has never had an encounter with the Lord. And that’s how many of us live nowadays; we go to church because it’s expected of us. We don’t go because we want to go praise the Lord and you know that’s why many millennials nowadays their main excuses are;

  1. Church is boring.
  2. Pastor is not involved with us.
  3. Where do the tithes and offering goes.
  4. Church involvement with politics and many more.

I learned through my experiences as a youth that was raised in the church and as leader of the youth that you can’t force no one to look for God. Each person has to go through a process and each one has to have an encounter with God. For example my youngest brother he was raised since he was a baby in the church. However these last few years he has departed from God; but you know what when God has a purpose with someone there is no one or anything that will stop him to bring that person back to his path. Well I  tried to guide him the best way I could but I continue to pray for him. God has spoken to him a couple of times now but he never listened and instead became more rebellious.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
    I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

Well the Lord had enough and brought him to attention on Sunday during the preaching. He was called to the front and God spoke to him that he was going to be anointed because his ministry is as a pastor; however that would not happen if he didn’t choose to leave everything behind. He had to let go of a necklace that was tying him to the past and needed to raise his hands out of his free own will and I’m not lying when I say this kid stayed 30 minutes upright trying to raise his hands and he couldn’t. He would go halfway and then lower them. It was a deep struggle that he was going through it was a battle that he needed to fight alone and he fought it because at the end he took off that necklace and raised his hands and when the pastor anointed him, he fell backward without no one touching him. That doesn’t mean he is okay but it means that the struggle will be harder and he needs to fight more harder then ever now; he had his encounter with the Lord now it depends on him what to do with it.

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” Gen 28:16

No one will win your salvation. Each person has to fight for their blessing and each has to fight for their salvation. The road is not easy there will be bumps and obstacles but it depends on you to fight your way through those things. Don’t you think Jesus wanted to give up when he was being whipped or crucified but he knew that if he gave up; humanity would never have the opportunity to being saved. He fought his battle now is your turn to fight for your encounter with God and your salvation. Don’t let anyone discourage you. IMG_0111
