For the weary hearted

Hebrews 12:12-13

Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.

God bless to all my brethren’s in Christ, I hope that everyone is safe and healthy and hopeful in these troubling times. It has been a few weeks of anxiety, sadness, and fear in our hearts as also for the whole world; however, we cannot let fear and anxiety take control of our daily living. I’m not going to lie these few weeks have been weeks full of fear not for myself but for my family since my parents work out of state and my brothers work jobs that are considered essential. I had the blessing to be working from home since the middle of March but fear for the unknown can become overwhelming most of the time.

For those who have become weary hearted and are burdened this is for all of you. Do not dismay, remember who is before you, with you and beside you. In the book of Psalms 121 states the following;

” The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”

One thing I have noticed as a believer is that we think we are untouchable, and that is where we are wrong. Even though God promises to guard us against evil, it does not mean that we will never get sick or God will not allow certain things to befall us. Christians back in the day were persecuted for their faith, now Christians nowadays are tested in different ways. Just as Job was tested we will be tested, think of what is going on as a way for those who have decided to quit because they could no longer hold on and those that have become weary and burdened to come and release all upon God; we are not meant to be the wonder woman and superman of the Christian world but to seek refuge within our father’s presence.

I have become weary and yes I have not searched for God as I’m supposed to be doing but I have seen God’s favor and his love towards me. This has shown me that even though I might flee and be an ungrateful child God is still there. It’s time to align stand firm in God, this life is temporary but the one after this is eternal. In the midst of weariness, test or burden God is with you; he is waiting for you to look at him and see that he has been waiting for you with open arms for you to find refuge within him. Many of us need healing but it’s not physical healing instead is healing for our soul. On this Easter I ask that you take the time to have a deep conversation with the Father; in this conversation release you fear, anxiety, burden, anger and all that is within you and I promise that you will come out from this Easter a new person in Christ.

Dear brethren, I hope that in these troubled times we can lean against one another for motivation and hope but that most importantly we can always remember the Father who has and always will maintain unconditional love for all of us. Instead of bashing each other let’s help one another, and show each other and the world; who’s daughters and sons we are from.
